What do I offer the world?

This past week was my first on Periscope. I am excited to navigate this new application with the #OctoberScopers group where we have daily prompts of topics to discuss. It's been fun to learn from others and connect with bloggers and other entrepreneurs.
Throughout these few days it has been encouraging and I've learned a lot about myself and realize the importance of narrowing the focus of my blog and my life.
When you consider how many million blogs there are out there, what is it that draws us to those specific few?
Time is our most precious resource. We can never reclaim it. Therefore, the moments we have we want to use on things that matter.
So I began thinking, what am I about? What do I want my blog to be about that is different from others? Ultimately, what do I have to offer the world that is unique?
And so this is the beginning of some alterations to my blog. To narrow it down and speak about what is important to me and what my heart is for.
Conveniently the first 5 all start with M <3
First off, I am passionate about Marriage.
Second I am passionate about Motherhood.
Third I am passionate about Missions.
Fourth I am passionate about Movement. Like literally moving your body.
Finally I am passionate about Mistakes...or rather redeeming them & allowing ourselves grace to accept them.
Beyond that I have yet to define clearly, but overall I could say that living naturally is important to me. While not purposely, we have become what you could call "gentle/attachment parents". But that's a post in and of itself, which I promise to write later. ;)
I do hope to gain some followers by redefining this blog and will continue to share our family journey with you all.
I look forward to hashing out each area and sharing with you in the days to come.
Have a fabulous week!
Find me on Periscope and Twitter at kmcclain77
I hope to connect with you!

Have you considered these questions? Have you written a personal or family missions statement?  I'd love to hear what you are passionate about in the comments!

The 7 year itch...to love my man even more

Celebrating 7 years of marriage today...with 2 young kids ;)
We were able to get snippets of special time together today, hubby made me breakfast, we had an awesome dinner & enjoyed a movie night together.
But most of the day was family time.
We surprised our eldest by going to a local farm where they had pony rides and a train ride.

We hope to get out alone later this.week but for today, there is no one I'd rather spend my anniversary with than the 2 products of our love.
Thank you Lord for this incredible life!

NEW #Octoberscopers on Periscope!

Hi everyone!
In the past few days I have discovered this wonderful little app called...Periscope.*
It's lovely!
My friend, the Girl on the Move was posting about this thing called #Octoberscopers and since I'm a sucker for monthly activities that draw you in and encourage you to fully experience the season, I looked into it.
And so, on October 1st I did my first "scope"...a live video broadcast where I did a little introduction about myself. I was nervous and it was totally out of my comfort zone, but I did it! A few people watched and gave me some hearts (showing the love) and it was fun!
On October 2nd the theme was an activity that I love...so naturally I did a #DanceScope!!! How fun, right?!
Yes, I country line danced live for others to see.
While holding a baby.
With my 4 year old dancing next to me. Seriously she was way cuter than me! I've watched the replay a few times just to see her cuteness. ;)
Today was day 3 (as it's October 3rd obviously) and share my Fall Bucket List!
So I thought I'd post it here as a video for you to watch and enjoy!
MamaMcClain's Fall Bucket List on Periscope **
I can't wait to hear what's on your fall bucket list!
I love autumn.
I love October.
God bless you & happy weekend to you all!

*If you are on Periscope, let me know your username so I can follow you! It's fun getting to know others out there sharing how we all are just doing life, sharing ideas and giving our little something to the world!
**I've since learned that Periscope broadcasts only stay up for 24 hours! So...I'll have to figure out how to save them to YouTube <3
